Dr. Pennoyer has a well known and highly deserved reputation of being the 'best of the best' of dermatologists. She is extremely professional and caring, and takes all the time needed so that all of her patients' needs are understood and met. Most highly recommended.

Great Doctor, Horrible staff! We have been working on getting one of her treatments from the local Pharmacy. The Insurance company has approved it but her staff and Walgreen keep messing up and can't get get the medicine through the system. As a doctor, getting the medication to her patients is critical and she is failing on providing that.

I have had 2 terrible in-office procedure experiences with this practice, which is why I left. The 1st was a biopsy they did on my elementary school-aged daughter. They promised they could keep her comfortable while it was done, and this was FAR from what happened! The second was supposed to be a "simple" removal of an under-the-skin thing near my belly button, that turned out to be a complex mini-surgery, and my belly button no longer looks like a belly button. Dr. Pennoyer and medical staff were real nice and did a good job. The billing side not so much. Told me I was just trying to get out of my high deductible. I was just trying to figure out why I was being billed for pathology after the removal of the spot. Which I didn't find out until today from the office manager that it was precancerous. Which I guess is the second pathology tests then because Dr Pennoyer told me it wasn't they day I went in to have it removed. Is it normal for the Office manager to see test results?
This negative review isn’t against the PA, it’s the office staff. Receptionist, was very rude and cold upon my arrival. The younger receptionist at the other window was extremely pleasant though. I’m was humiliated when my temperature was taking in the waiting room by the medical assistant . I work at a business on Cottage Grove and my temperature was taken a couple hours prior, 98.7. We brought my son three times in the last two months. He had a temperature per there thermometer at each visit. he didn’t have a temperature with an oral thermometer at home. We brought our own this last time. They still won’t see him. We are done and finding a new doctor. He has a precancerous grow which needs to be addressed.
I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Pennoyer & staff. They are all very skilled, caring & committed to their patients. It is because they are so good that they are highly in demand by new patients. Do yourself a favor, instead of complaining, get on their waiting list like my wife & I did.
