I contacted this dental office about a month ago. The first thing I asked was if my insurance was covered. I was informed it would be. After my first dental visit they told me cleanings would be next. I was aware of this because the usual is first exams then cleanings. So I agreed. When I went into my cleaning the doctor informed me that they would only be cleaning half of my mouth. Bedside manners are horrible. I went in today as a new patient. Without an understanding of my history, I was ridiculed and judged for not keeping up with previous dental work with another provider. I am not a child, so I am fully capable of knowing my do’s and dont’s in the adult world. However being that I suffer with depression and other related issues, I have my moments where I give up. Dr. Trathen was my regular dentist for over 8 years in FM & at every 6mo. Routine cleaning, no issues until the last cleaning… it was a different experience than normal, I was told I had severe periodontal disease and I would need a $600+ deep cleaning. She was blunt, stoic & not compassionate that I may need a minute to think about what I just heard to ask questions. I’ve been a client for several years. Dr. Trathen is excellent! She’s done a great job with my teeth. And when I’ve needed specialists, her recommendations have been top-notch. She & her team are great!
