Matthew has numerous gemology and pearl certifications. I like that he doesn’t purchase or sell jewelry. His fee was reasonable and the insurance report was very professional (included pictures of each item) with a full detailed report. Highly recommended!

This was my first time getting jewelry appraised. My grandmother recently passed, and told me stories of one particular piece, a pendant that was given to her by her mother, that supposedly dated back to the French Revolution. I’d done a tremendous amount of research to find a certified gemologist and appraiser, as you cannot simply go to a jewelry store to get a professional analysis of antique jewelry. Had an amazing experience using Matthew for our insurance appraisals. Making an appointment was easy, his work was meticulous (and the appraisals/paperwork he supplied were incredibly professional and thorough), he was extremely personable, and his prices were reasonable. We paid an hourly fee because we had multiple pieces —and doing so saved us money. Highly recommend Matthew and JEM logics!
