A complete 3rd world ER and hospital. I wouldn't send my dog to this place. John Hopkins should be ashamed .

A little over a year ago, I moved to Baltimore and needed to find a dermatologist to continue my ongoing treatment, which a physician initially diagnosed at Yale Medical Group in Connecticut. Dr. Sweren received my medical record and took a biopsy which confirmed my initial diagnosis. During my first visit, Dr. Sweren lacked empathy for my concerns and seemed confused about how to treat my medical condition. I brushed off the feeling as a new patient, but after my second visit, it was evident he was more interested in fillin... read more

JOHN HOPKINS (ER) IN COLUMBIA, MD IS AN OUTSTANDING HOSPITAL Yesterday, I had to check myself into JH through the Emergency room (ER) due to severe pain that I was experiencing. From the moment that I arrived at the emergency room and walked in thru the double doors the security staff greeted me and was very helpful and accommodating. He saw me struggling to make it in and immediately offered to bring over a wheelchair and told me to take the time that I needed because if you ever been in pain "huge ouch". Made it over to t... read more

The hospital is impressive and surgeons World-class, but the “hospital care” may kill or maim your child. Insist on doctors - not students or residents - and trust your instincts if something is wrong. Especially watch the patient’s sodium levels! Make sure alarms & monitors are hooked up and not ignored! Get medical record copies week by week because - if you can afford the records after something goes wrong - you’ll get a CD with shuffled records. Try finding all records for a specific date, when there are over 5000 n... read more

If you get sick after 5pm or on the weekends, you will get a nurse who does not work for JH and has no access to your chart. All she/he can do is tell you to go to the ED. With emergency rooms so packed this is a dangerous practice and one I will no longer be a part of. It is no wonder that Hopkins is dropping in the rankings every year.

Horrible treatment by ER nurses during a recent visit for a skin condition that was inflamed and painful. The triage nurse Sean invaded privacy by taking a picture of my skin rash to “show the doctor “. I have no idea what actually happened with that. The doctor was fine but the nurse Marcus in the back that was assigned to me was hesitant to come near me and when he did, he had a cold demeanor. I saw him once and never again did he check on me. I expected at a minimum blood work to test for a severe allergic reaction to s... read more

If I could give a 0 I would this hell hole of a hospital had me removed after being told by a DR. that the major surgery I need would not happen because my pulse oxy was 94.which has been fine for 2 other major surgeries last year. I'm not sick and that is normal for me in my primary records. Instead they refused surgery which they had removed me from all meds 2 weeks prior. So pain lvls off the chart. When I asked what I am supposed to do now a got shrugs. I asked if I'm just going to be left to die now because they don't c... read more

Our experience with him was abysmal. 1) My mother's GYN said to call continuously and make sure Dr. Lin reviewed her file to see if he could see her sooner than 3 weeks out, 2) no one ever called back 3) weeks after calling twice a day we finally spoke with Dr. Lin who said he had reviewed her file and despite her high-grade cancer, he was certain she would be fine so didn't need to see her sooner 4) I pushed for having a CT scan before our appointment and the CT indicated cancer had started to spread outside of her uterus a... read more
