I was referred to Dr. Wolters from Dr. Greskovich after a negative prostrate biopsy result. Both physicians are excellent, and both met with my wife and I to discuss options including the surgical option which we ended up decided was the best for us. We met with Dr. Wolters and we left feeling positive about the meeting and our decision for surgery vs. other treatment options. Doctor Walters is an excellent doctor and surgeon. I chose to have robotic prostatectomy because of a cancerous prostate. After doing a lot of research, interviewing several surgeons, from the Mayo Clinic to University of Alabama, I decided on Doctor Walters. I was referred to Dr Wolters for a potential surgery to remove a tumor on one of my kidneys. Dr W spoke with me and my husband about my options. As a nurse I could understand the medical terminology, however Dr W ensured my husband also understood. I opted for the surgery. My recent experience with Dr. Wolters has been nothing but outstanding. He is very personable, and more importantly, a wonderful surgeon. My kidney cancer was discovered early, and he was able to completely remove the mass using laparoscopic/robotic surgery. My follow-up care has been excellent. Dr. Wolters has a good personality and a definite concern for his patients. But, those are the only two positive things that I can say about his treatment with me. As he said after the latest surgery that has caused my major issue, he broke me and he would fix me. Well, the "fixing" has not happened, and it now looks like the damage he caused will be permanent!! DR. Wolters removed my prostate on Dec. 15, 2016. I am embarrassed that it took me this long to get a review out. Dr. Wolters is a straightforward no nonsense Dr.. He is also warm and engaging. He explained everything beforehand with great clarity and answered any questions I or my wife had.
