This doctor scheduled a total knee replacement without even doing an MRI. I got a second opinion that said I definitely didn't need a knee replacement. So I then got a 3rd opinion, who did do an MRI and found a torn meniscus, cyst, and blood behind the knee. 3rd doctor did arthroscopic surgery and now my knee is 100% better. I can't believe I almost got a unnecessary total knee from this guy.
It took me three weeks to get an appointment. UPMC claims "least invasive form of therapy " to resolve problems. His PA spent 3 minutes with me, the Doctor spent 5 minutes with me. Clearly a smart guy. Never discussed cortisone shots. Did say they could try a medicine. Would know in a week or two, he has partners who do hip replacement surgery. I asked about shots. My appointment with dr. Mulholland went good on friday. He said i have whats called patellofemrol crepitis and pain transference with tight hip flexors so he recommended me to see a physical therapist about it so today my pt gave me exercises to do before Friday the 31. I highly recommend to see mulholland and dan primm for anything.
Dr. Mulholland refused to see me when I was in extreme pain and told me I didn’t have a shoulder problem. He would not MRI my shoulder. MRI showed torn labrum. Would not recommend to anyone. Does not care about his patients.
Dr. Mulholland saw me for a torn rotator cuff. He explained my tests that I had done in detail to me and answered all of my questions. He has a very good personality and makes you feel comfortable. He didn't leave me waiting in the exam room for more that 10 mins. and took his time with me. His staff was professional and attentive. I would definitely recommend him and use him again myself if I would need his services.
