Had an appointment at 330 and was not acutely seen by the doctor until after 5. Brought my son in for a stye and they dilated his eyes without informing me until she was already putting drops in them. Was then told by the doctor my sons needs glasses even after he passed his eye exam with the tech and had passed all of his previous eye exams. He is listed as a pediatric opthamologist but is not kid friendly at all.

Dr. Cohen has been our son's doctor since he was 18 months. At 5years old, he had his first surgery for strabismus on both eyes. Dr. Cohen is the best!! Everything he instructed us to do after surgery worked. We were once told that Dr. Cohen knew exactly what he was doing and it was so true! We live 4hrs away from San Antonio but it is worth driving this way to see him. I would recommend him to any parent that might have a child with strabismus. He will take good care of your child for sure!

Very pleased with sons eye outcome. He is very knowledgeable in his field. Kind of cut and dry, but knows what he is doing!

Dr. Cohen did not address me or my 5yr old when walking into his exam room. He worked on his computer and pointed to his left implying my daughter have a seat in the exam chair. He established zero rapport with my daughter. He turned to her and asked her age then did a quick eye exam. My daughter was uncomfortable, I was uncomfortable. He then told me her vision is fine and that she failed her screening due to poor effort (which I felt was harsh judgement). I waited 1h to be seen for <5min.

I was referred to Dr. Cohen after seeing my daughter's pediatrician earlier that morning. When I walked into his office he sat in his chair and asked what was going on, barely let me finish telling him and then told me it was pink eye. We left the office the same time he did and I was really bothered to see that it was his corvette parked diagonally in front of the office taking up two parking spots making it so I had to park far away and haul my two toddlers into his office.

Very thorough with diagnosis of strabismus. You can tell he takes pride in what he knows and how he will fix issue. You want a confident Dr doing surgery on your 3 year old. Was always very nice and couteous with us. Not a conversationalist but again that's not what I'm paying for. Results of surgery was 100% effective.
