I was diagnosed with RRMS on my 22nd birthday. I went to UCSF for a second opinion which I am glad I did. Dr. Gelfand was exceptional! He was empathetic, thorough and professional. He reviewed my history personally and confirmed all relevant data without assuming anything. He did a complete neurological exam and gave his opinion on my treatment moving forward. I am grateful for his expertise.
Dr. Gelfand is kind, knowledgeable and compassionate about my care. He is willing to collaborate with me to deliver the best outcome. He also considers me as a whole patient and looks at my needs to improve my wellness.
