My husband had his first visit with Dr. Poynter this week. We were very pleased. He explained everything in detail. Gave us as much time as needed to ask and for him to answer questions. He made us feel very at ease.
As a surgeon I give him a 3 . As a human I give him an 0 . After I had open heart surgery I was sent home after being in the ICU for 4 days because Erlanger had no regular rooms available. After a week at home I became sick and developed water around my heart. I was sent by ambulance to the ER and transported downtown. This was on a Friday night . Dr. Poynter has done open heart surgery/valve replacement for my daughter and I highly recommend him. He and his staff are kind and compassionate and really care about their patients. He is an excellent surgeon.
