Dr. Rihn recommended surgery for my severe sciatica caused by compression at L3-4. My pain was relieved immediately by the surgery and I am doing really well in recuperation. Two weeks out of my laminectomy and spinal fusion, I can say nothing but positives concerning my experience with Dr. Rihn, his staff and my time at Paoli Hospital. The relief from nerve pain was almost immediate. I know this was a serious and complicated surgery and will be a long road to recovery but I know I have seen the best and have hope for much improved quality of life.
From our first meeting a few years ago, I knew that Dr. Rihn was the surgeon I wanted to operate on my spine. He was straight forward and explained every detail of the problem I had with my lower back and what was necessary to correct my discs to be pain free. I have told everyone and anyone who will listen about Dr. Rihn since he performed my surgery back on March 5th. I had been dealing with pain and mobility issues for MONTHS. I was in the ER twice and not taken seriously and by the time I got to Dr. Rihn, I was being pushed in a wheel chair because I could no longer walk.
