I'm very satisfied with my surgery and with Dr. Rihn and Rothman. Would recommend both.
Herniated disc L4-L5 repaired by Dr. Rihn. Outpatient surgery. Procedure took 35 minutes. Was able to walk out of hospital totally free of nerve pain.
Listens to you and explains things well. Very comfortable with him
Listened well and answered all my questions. The results after my surgery were excellent.
Dr. Rihn preformed my 2-level ACDF surgery 3 weeks ago. I had ignored my symptoms (shoulder/arm pain, finger numbness, and arm weakness) for years. I "interviewed" multiple neuro and orthopedic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Rihn. I appreciated his directness and confidence that he could help me. He did. I woke up from surgery with feeling again in my fingers and strength in my left arm. At 2 weeks PO, I was cleared to stop wearing the neck collar, to drive short trips and begin riding my stationary bike again. Thanks to hi... read more
I would (and do) recommend Dr Ryan to anyone who needs back surgery. He did a wonderful job! I was up and walking the same day. The hospital facilities were first rate. It is now 10 weeks out and I feel as good as new!
Dr. Rihn performed my spinal decompression surgery three months ago. At all stages of the process, Dr. Rihn has proven to go above and beyond my expectations of care. I am an active 30 year old at the time of the procedure and I was very nervous about having it done. He made sure I understood everything that went into his decision making process, the procedure itself as well as the recovery process. If you are seeking the advice of a specialist, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Rihn.
Excellent spine surgeon, had three(3) previous surgeries in Reading to no avail, decided to go to Rothman institute, met Dr Rihn who Performed surgery, he said he couldn’t guarantee no pain, but could eliminate a lot of it, after years of suffering, left hospital with absolutely no pain !! Follow-ups were great, after 2 1/2 years saw Dr Rihn Thursday 7/15/21, xrays all looking Good will not have to come back, Dr Rihn and staff are very accommodating and spend quality time with their patients, I couldn’t be more pleased, I’ll C... read more
Dr Rihn was referred to me for my ongoing low back pain. After 2 previous surgeries on my low back - Rihn suggested lumbar fusion. He spent very little time reviewing my history and while my fusion was seemingly successful - I still have low back pain below my surgical area. I had asked him before surgery to be attentive to not only where my surgery was needed, but in the areas below based on my previous pain issues. He stated that he "cleaned up " the surrounding areas but I doubt that's true. His bedside manner is stoic an... read more
