Dr. Petrone is one of the GREATEST Doctors affiliated with Jefferson Hospital. He's the GREATEST Doctor in the Philadelphia area. I have been a patient of Dr. Petrone's for over 10 years. As well as my son for over 6 years. His heart for his patients is extremely unmatched. He's VERY proficient and efficient when it comes to the lives of patient care. Terrible experiences and incompetent office. Dr refused to answer my question “what if insurance doesn’t cover surgery” instead insisting “it will be covered.” I waited several months (+7) for insurance approval only to be told I’m not a candidate for the procedure. Imagine having 6 graduate degrees and being that out of touch with insurance criteria in your own field...and then too proud to admit you made a mistake. Dr. Taub removed two teeth, that had been damaged, and he prepared one for an implant. I dreaded the process, but it was as easy as such a process could be. Dr. Taub and his residents and fellows were extremely supportive.
Dr. Sandra Dayaratna was very unprofessional during my family member visit. She validated the rights of the patient and misguided information concerning images that was diagnosed by other doctors and proceeded to covered it up by saying that all of the test was normal. When she showed the report on computer it showed some abnormalities which became very concerning that she didn’t read the most recent report before coming in the room. Did not pay adequate attention to a family member's very serious complaints and gave routine responses that did not match the patient's reported symptoms. Even once a terminal diagnosis was received, further delayed making referrals.

Great Dr, very personable.
This is the second surgery I have had with Dr. Taub, and once again, I am quite pleased with his professionalism, skill, and kindness. I wasn't as scared with this surgery because it was minor, but I still had some trepidation going into the procedure, and Dr. Taub made me feel calm with his demeanor and sense of humor. I would recommend him for any oral surgeries you need to have done. He's the best!
