I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 16 years old and was under this doctor’s care during that time. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. Saw this doctor today for the first time. Really surprised to see so many good reviews after my visit. He didn’t introduce himself or look me in the eye and his bedside manners and soft skills were nonexistent. When I explained the issues I was having with my specialty prescription, he dismissed me without offering an alternative or solution.
I had the hugest respect for Dr Leist. Four years ago I had a major flare with more lesions than could be counted. I also got dxed with bipolar. The Mayo Clinic states that MS can cause bipolar. Leist's office refused to sign off for my pension even though I was cognitively unable to work for the city. I had to get a new neurologist who absolutely believes MS causes bipolar. I had no psych history before the flare.
