Saw this doctor today for the first time. Really surprised to see so many good reviews after my visit. He didn’t introduce himself or look me in the eye and his bedside manners and soft skills were nonexistent. When I explained the issues I was having with my specialty prescription, he dismissed me without offering an alternative or solution.
I had the hugest respect for Dr Leist. Four years ago I had a major flare with more lesions than could be counted. I also got dxed with bipolar. The Mayo Clinic states that MS can cause bipolar. Leist's office refused to sign off for my pension even though I was cognitively unable to work for the city. I had to get a new neurologist who absolutely believes MS causes bipolar. I had no psych history before the flare.
Dr Leist is one of the most professional, knowledgeable, caring, and best MS specialists you will ever meet. His office staff are all very nice people. He is very busy so you may have to wait a while for an initial appointment to see him, but he is definitely worth the wait.
