My family had to endure racism and prejudice at this restaurant Oct.12 2011 @ 4pm. After waiting for a server for over 30min and watching as everyone else was being served and waited on right after walking in to this place, my family who is diabetic and hoping to be waited on quickly since there wasn't a lot of customers had to just get up and walk out. NOT EVEN WATER was given! Don't go to this place that serves bigotry and prejudice. If you go, you support these ideals!
Good food, but questionable service I learned of Jedi's Garden a couple of years ago from a relative of mine who goes there from time to time. I found myself impressed with the variety of menu choices, the food was good, the portions were good, the pricing was reasonable and the deserts were devine. I live in Minnesota, but whenever I would come to visit my family in Chicago, we would almost always make our way to this restaurant.
ChicagoGiftedTeacher 1. I ordered beef, but pork was prepared for me. 2. Waitress lied 3 times and assured me that it was beef not pork. 3. I wanted beef but my family already ate so I agreed to pay only for what my family and I ate, which was a salad , my husband's meal, and 2 child meals. The manager wanted me to pay for the unordered PORK anyway. I refused! Police came and solved that problem for me. 4. Have eaten breakfast on Sunday mornings there for about 2+ years, Finally quite going there in January. My clothes wreaked with smoke. I don't smoke and am allergic to smoke and don't like smelling like an ashtray.To go to the washroom I must pass through the smoking section, and to pay my bill, again, I must do it in the smoking section. You have lost my patronage and my friends. George S. My kids always find something different to eat. My problem is that i like the whole menu and I want one of each, but since I can't, I can have low fat and tasty, meat lover and no carbs, they will cook whatever you want. Love the specials, especially the Greek specialties, and to be honest we drive-from Glen Ellyn to the South Side, because it's very cheap for an entire family. You don't want soup, fine, have salad. a little of everything Jedi's Garden is a good restaurant if you have people that want different things. Jedi's has a huge variety and all the food is pretty good. It is always served fast by a friendly staff. The food is filling too.
On Sunday March 16th, I had a table of 5 for breakfast. Everything was fine as well as the waitstaff. However, upon leaving the restaurant the young hostess was very rude to me and my friend. You had a bowl of free cookies that said; "take one" and we did. However, we did not see the little signage tucked away near the bowl. The sign read "do not use your hands". The hostess said in a loud and rude manner; " can't you see the sign! " I mentioned that maybe the sign should be more visable than it was....... and she continued ... read more
Something For Everyone The fresh aroma of baked bread struck me as we exited our car in their spacious parking lot. We entered the restaurant and were amazed at the salt water tank filled with tropical fish and other amazing sea creatures. We were immediately acknowledged and asked for our seating preference: booth, or table. We chose a both by the other bigger saltwater tank.
