I was previously seen by Dr. De Leon and recently tried Dr. Maria Engelhardt-Parales. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend her. I had a 10:00 AM appointment, but the doctor never showed. I was told I’d get a call back, but didn’t hear anything until 7:20 PM— and not even from her directly. Before I could even explain my concerns, I was told she no longer prescribes narcotics. I had an appointment at 4:30 waited for two hours and still wasn’t seen. They were all just talking to each other and not checking on me and kept telling me I was next. I understand if I was a walk-in, but I wasn’t. They had rescheduled my appointment for me because I had an appointment the day before and they called me saying that the doctor wouldn’t be in.

I strongly advise anyone reading this to not seek medical assistance in any way from Dr. Parales. She was my mom's doctor due to the fact that the care facility in which she was living uses Dr. Parales as their go-to doctor. When my mom moved out of the facility in Tacoma, Dr. Parales refused to provide move-in orders for my mom's new care facility. This place needs to be shut down. They are not professional. The clinic will have you waiting on the phone. You have to schedule an appointment everytime to get a refill on your meds.

At first I liked this doctor for my dad. She was very informative. Then my dad had to go to the ER and I was calling the next morning to set a follow up appointment and no one answered the phone all day! So I stopped by, there was no one in the front.
