If you're a person of color, please do not ever think of attending this facility. You will experience microaggressions, racism, and discrimination. No one will come to your aid when it occurs, the class will just laugh at your expense. Shame on them!
I had a friend of color (important info) that came in & had the WORST experience. Not sure who her instructor was but she made a racist comment saying that she’s always wanted to go to a plantation. My friend was the only colored person in there. Will be letting EVERYONE i know in Oklahoma about this. DO NOT RECOMMEND
This is not the facility to visit if you are black, African, or possibly brown. The instructor unprompted blurted out how as a kid she always wanted to visit a plantation just to spite a new black customer. On top of that, the class laughed. Mortifying!!! Zero stars! Body Barre downtown Edmond has an amazing atmosphere of equality here in 2026, come join!
While I did not personally attend this class, after hearing the owner's comments, I would never consider using this business. The owner reportedly stated, "When I was younger, I always wanted to take a field trip to a plantation," and then followed it by saying, "I say whatever comes to mind and I have no filter." Whether intended as a joke or not, comments like these show a concerning lack of professionalism and awareness.
