So incredibly clueless, inept, and unprofessional. Can't even comprehend what he reads. Stay away. Bad ratings for good reason.
Jay Jensen uses his position of a court appointed therapist to his advantage at every turn. I am convinced that he has little to no interest in helping children. It got to the point that the the visits between him, my kids or myself were recorded. I have a recording of him telling me that "the reason that the insurance wont cover the visits because there were no diagnosable problems in the children. But rest assured that after a few visits with their biological parent, there usually will be something diagnosable within a v... read more
Dr. Jensen helped our young daughter after she has been raped. She suffered horrible self esteem. We wanted prosecution but we mostly wanted our daughter to be healthy. Thanks to Dr. Jensen our daughter has returned to her happy and well-adjusted self.
I spent over a year working on co-parenting therapy with Dr. Jensen and a notoriously difficult spouse. Dr. Jay Jensen handled himself with nothing short of amazing patience and balance as he encouraged us to communicate and treat each other fairly. When my ex-spouse eventually ran out of tears and venom, they refused to continue, never having heeded Jay's suggestions. Jay's behavior was exemplary, showing a degree of patience, professionality, and true care for the outcomes of our children in the face of a very "tough custo... read more
Dr. Jensen did not follow through on what he said he would do. I got the feeling that he was not unbiased at all as he knew a lot about my ex's personal life struggles and always seemed to know what my ex had sent him via email. After almost half a year's worth of sessions he ask me to resend him emails that I had sent him at the first of the year because he had no idea what was in them.
He did a custody evaluation for my family. He was excellent. he saw everything for what it really was. I can't stress the fact about how good he really is.
This man was not honest in any way. His staff was extremly unprofessional. They were very dishonest in their billing. The scheduling for appointments was a joke. You will be worse off if you go to this man, do not waste your time or money when it comes to yourself and your family.
I went to dr Jensen at a very vulnerable time for help with abuse allegations involving my daughter. Instead of being understanding and supportive he spent the time inducing more fear into me and telling me I was wrong. At the end of the appointment he told me if I didn't hide everything from my daughter it would end up being my fault for any issues she had in the future. I left the office in tears and in almost a full panic attack. I would never recommend. one of the worst experiences I've had
I really like Dr Jensen himself. I really don't like the way his office is run or his staff help. Everything was so inefficient that very little was accomplished with our family. We had a hard time getting appointments and they were spanned out too far, we were left waiting for long periods of time or the appointments were cancelled last minute, the billing information was incorrect and I couldn't get the office to respond to get it corrected. The whole thing has been a disaster.
