Due to a long term skin condition, I need a good dermatologist. After waiting several months for the appointment and not having seen Dr. Viernes in several years, I expected him to be more attentive during this visit. He rushed through and walked out while I was in the middle of a sentence. The inference was that my time was up and he stated he had other patients. The doctor is excellent he has solved huge Dermatology related issues for both my sister and self but Austin Regional Clinic has a huge issue with their phone services. It took over half an hour to get someone on the phone in order to make my appointment. This happens all the time.

His bedside manner is excellent, I've suffered from extremely painful acne since I was 11 (I'm now 31) & through 20 years of failed treatments I was sure that I was just stuck with it. He was sure I wasn't. In 9 months, my skin has not only cleared but I know I have a reliable and knowledgeable expert on my treatment team to help me continue on my self care path. He's been nothing but geniune, direct, and helpful in finding financially helpful ways to afford the treatment that cleared my skin
