Love this place. I stop in every time I'm in Elk Rapids.
#RIPOFF! - I asked that my receipt be emailed to me. When I looked at it, I found that a "servive fee" of $0.59 was included in the charge. While this isn't a lot of money, it was not disclosed at the register. Java Jones only gives receipts by text or email. If I had not looked at it, I would never have known I was being charged this fee. I guess that Retired Accountants have time on their hands and notice things like this. Delicious food and fantastic coffee! I love the breakfast burrito, fresh veggies and tasty salsa. You can't beat a toasted marshmallow latte.
Unfortunately the only friendly person was the sweet girl at the register. Very grumpy when our order was wrong. We asked questions and the girl making the drinks was rude! So sad because I am very nice to people who work in the service industry but if you work with the public you should probably try to be accommodating and be able to communicate with customers.
Love this place! The black bean brownies are awesome too!
