don’t recommend getting a smoothie. they put ice cream in their smoothies which isn’t great for someone who is lactose-intolerant, it’s literally a shake.
I’m here every Thursday for the comedy night, and I love the atmosphere and the drinks. I was a little bummed that this past Thursday they were out of red bull so I couldn’t get my red bull smoothie. Hopefully they have more this Thursday!
We have made this a regular Sunday morning stop for the last couple weeks. Great weekend place to relax.

Great place, amazing service and coffee that is un-matched anywhere in Des Moines. Java Joes does not dissapoint !
Need more trained staff apparently and need some customer service skills. Waiting over 1/2 hour for 3 drinks is unacceptable.
Best coffee in the city. Hands down! Anything else is just brown water.
