Very fresh seafood so tender and tasteful. Cornbread is a sweet southern style all it is missing is the whole corn. :)
It used to be one of the best restaurants in town and is now just middle of the road. They do have the best cornbread ever! Service was very slow even tho it wasn't crowded. Montreal steak tips over cooked and no Montreal flavor. Rest of dinner fine.
I have eaten here in the past, last time a few years ago, and was extremely pleased. Tonight was a different situation. Our party of four were somewhat disappointed tonight. Our food was barely lukewarm & the 2 of us that had scallops agreed that they were slightly under-cooked. We were not asked if we wanted dessert - seemed rushed for us to leave. On a positive note, the cornbread was good!
Great food and beverages! Friendly staff. My grandson's favorite restaurant! I stayed in their rooms during the winter snowstorms and theey were warm, clean and very affordable.

A trip to Ellsworth without a trip to Jasper's is, to be frank, not a real trip to Ellsworth. Easily one of the best restaurants I have eaten at.
