Dr. Dahl is knowledgeable professional and very reassuring. He explained the issue thoroughly and answered all my questions.
What's my first time having any kind of surgery awake. They made me feel very comfortable but it was time the surgery. The only thing I really felt was the first initial poke of the numbing needle

I appreciated his attention to my complaints and my pain; he gave full eye contact and listened carefully; he offered me an option and hope and explained the pros and cons. He was congenial and yet very professional and inspired confidence.
Dr. Dahl was very concise and easy to understand, appreciated my poor humor, answered my questions with drawings, stated preferred treatment options and did not promote any pain medications. He alleviated my concerns about possible arthritis issues by showing me how 'clean' my hand x rays were, etc. A third my age, he showed no condescension and I very easily trusted him and his care.
