I had a medical emergency which resulted in a fracture of my tibia, fibula, and ankle. After the initial emergency surgery, it was recommended that I stay on the island for an additional surgery to repair the fractures with pins and plates. I made additional accommodations and have family members flying in to help me only to have them tell me three days later that they won’t take my insurance.
