BEWARE...When making an appointment… You will most likely not see Dr. Amato. You will most likely see one of his nurse practitioners.
Dr Amato is a very caring doctor. His staff and co workers are also kind when my family an I walk in the door.
If you are going to this doctor for acne find someone else. There is one treatment that WORKS and that is Accutane. This sub standard doctor will have you spend lots of money on substandard expensive medications before accutane. There are birth defect issues for those who become pregnant on this drug but there is a very rigid government program in place to make sure you don't. the program is overkill for anyone with any sense. The service was HORRIBLE. The office manager specifically was extremely rude. I think I'm a pretty easy going patient and customer, but this office really irked me. In addition to the really bad service, my part of the bill was over $200 -- and all I had was a mole removed with liquid nitrogen. It took the doctor all of two minutes. There are lots of dermatologists out there, and I would not recommend this office to anyone!
The receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. Dr. Amato is friendly but I found him to be very unhelpful. He spent very little time with me and rushed through the appt. Seems more interested in the cosmetic portion of dermatology rather than skin conditions such as psoriasis. Have found a dermatologist down the road 100 times better and friendlier than Amato and his staff
Recep is not friendly but professional. But I have never been seen on time my 2 yrs being a patient. Dr. Amato is very helpful and easy to talk to. He has improved my condition every time I've went to him. I think he is a great young doctor.
He is very good. Caught cancer in early stage and referred me to surgeon. Staff is not very friendly...act like it is a bother to deal with you...they need to work on that or he may lose patients.
Get rid of the receptionist! It shows so poorly on the first impression office visit. I think Dr. Amato is great for the simple stuff like moles and regular acne, but would not trust him completely with a more serious skin issues. But he is young, I hope he is reading these comments and will continue his education to become a better doctor and offer a more comfortable office experience for his clients.
Dr. Amato is a knowledgeable and caring dermatologist. He has seen our entire family, and we all have been pleased with him. He is always on time, and staff are pleasant and helpful
