Jasmine Tea House

4.2

About this business

Delicious, fresh and affordable- you won't be disappointed after a meal at Jasmine Tea House. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make the experience all the better. While the menu is not in any way daring, you can still get a tasty version of some of the more traditional and perhaps Americanized versions of Chinese dishes. The Happy Buddha is especially delicious with it's crispy imitation chicken and tasty mushrooms. Portions are large enough to share, and you can buy a nice bottle of wine to go with the meal.

Warm service and reliable Chinese fare make this Mission teahouse a neighborhood favorite. – In Short A colorful neon sign outside beckons diners into a quiet, elegant dining room that boasts light pink walls and an ornate cabinet filled with beautiful decorative teapots. The selection of teas -- 14 in all -- covers everything from oolong to pu-erh, a strong black tea. Dim sum standards, such as shrimp dumplings and pork buns, are served all day along with larger plates like Mongolian beef, ginger chicken and clams sautéed i... read more

Best VEGAN Chinese in the city! – I can't believe no one has mentioned you can get any of their meat dishes WITHOUT MEAT!!! Just order it "meatless". Try the General Tsao's "meatless" chicken. It's the majesty of the Ming Dynasty in every piece of wheat gluten. I know people who come here 3 times a week or more.

At Last Good delivery – Very tasty well prepared dishes and for the money one of the best deals in the city. I've only had take-out but its always been prompt and the meal is delivered hot! Try them!!!!!

Reasonable, Refined and Repeat Visited – I have been getting reliable deliveries from this fine restaurant, and also have enjoyed dining in. There are other Noe Chinese restaurants, more expensive and with lines, which are lower in quality. Take a trip over to Bernal to learn that this place knows how to satisfy. I only avoid the fried food, but have learned to love the dim sum, and the Chef's specials are great.

delicious food, dim sum, sake – Fresh, delicious preparations of great old standards (rolling lettuce chicken, cold noodles, sesame beef) plus dim sum all the time. Pork buns to die for. And sake for us sake-lovers. Warm, friendly service, even for delivery customers. I called in an order and the gentleman asked if I liked certain ingredients or would prefer others. A lovely new spot. I intend to become a regular.

Why go to Eric's? – Why wait in line at Eric's when you can come here? My husband and I ordered take out from Jasmine...3 dishes for $19! When you order two dishes or more for takeout, you get free fried rice or free chow mein...a whole dish's worth, not just a single portion. We got the ostrich and the eel and both were excellent...not drenched in sauce and not overly oily. Definitely give this place a try. The only minus: if you're not used to the area, you might find the street a little gritty.

Waaayyy Better than Average – Jasmine Tea House: Excellent Food. Excellent Service. This place gets an *EXCELLENT* rating because of the food, the service, the value, and the overall FEEL of the place, which is unlike most creepy, cookie-cutter-style chinese food places in SF. This place is WAAAAYYY better than average. The food is very good for the price (which is actually cheap! Also, they deliver everywhere in Mission, Bernal heights and Noe (haven't tried Potrero, yet). The chef, the owner, and most of the waitstaff came... read more
