LOVE Hyde Park and JAPANESE SPA ZEN - great customer service and THE BEST PEDICURES!!! – We live in NW Minnesota & have family living in Hyde Park. Love this area & we visit 5 - 6 times a year. Always look forward to a relaxing time at Spa Zen. We gals try to get in for pedicures - they're the BEST! The staff is so pleasant, the business is so clean & your prices are great! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! – i came here and was completely disgusted, the board of health should shut this place down!!! i came in for a bath and a massage, the massage was great it almost made me forget about the horrifying experience i just went through in the jacuzzi room. tthe service was bad from the start. i had to wait about 15 mins for the tub to be filled up. then when i got in the room, the floor was sticky and dirty, i had to dodge patches of hair that were stuck to the floor to get into the bath. they gave me a dirty... read more
Great Waxer – I came to this spa because I live in Hyde Park I came to get a Bikini wax I was scared because it was my first time .I had Rhonda she was great she made me feel comfortable because she talked to me to keep my mind off the pain .The best part was she was quick. Im no longer scared and Rhonda has a new client.
Best place in Hyde Park-- if you have Naoko – I've lived in Hyde Park for six years, and this is the only place I've found with a stylist who understands what I want and does a great job. The most important thing is to make sure your appointment is with Naoko-- the one time I had someone else, I definitely regretted it.
Frustrating and disappointing – I've had my hair done here several times. Usually, the serive is decent (nothing to write home about - but at least it's cheap). However, the last time I went in I was really disappointed. I told the hairstylist that I wasn't happy with the highlights (I wanted something way more noticeable), but he proceeded to try to convince me that they looked good. Worst Haircut Ever! – This is one of the worst haircuts that I've ever had. Not only did she cut my hair much shorter than I asked for, but they she also got rid of the layering that I had. I will never go here again.
Great little spa in Hyde Park – Just wanted to say how much I like Japanese Spa Zen in Hyde Park, just around the corner from my house. I have my hair cut and colored by Naoko, the owner, and she's a very good hair stylist. I am always happy with the high precision and stylish cutting. I've also had a massage and treated my friend to a massage at the Spa - we were both very happy with the professional treatments we received. Naoko is the best! – She has been cutting my hair for 13 years and I have never had a bad one. Everybody said that her cut would stay as it was until it got too long. Easy to take care since her cutting lines are so perfect, it will not get messy. In Japan, hair designers are trained very hard from shampooing to advanced levels in details. I believe she is one of the best hair stylists in Chicago. She recently cut my daughters' hair with layered style. We have to drive for 40 min to see Naoko, but it is worth it.
The best facial Ever! – Joy gave me an excellent facial. It was so relaxing and purifying! My only complaint is that besides the doors the salon doesn't feel Japanese styled & there was no japanese music playing. Otherwise a great service for the price.
