Very competent in treating common mental health conditions. She will not let you go without your medicine and is willing to change your medication quickly if it isn’t working for you. Despite all of the negative reviews, I’ve never had a problem with her approach to managing medication. The whole process is trial and error can get annoying at times but ultimately it is up to you to take your medication and work with your providers to find a good fit. If I could give this "Dr" no stars I would. She makes you feel rushed during the whole appointment. She doesn't listen to your problems or offer you anything but meds. Then when you need a refill you can't get ahold of her. I have called emailed and texted her and I have still heard nothing. Incredibly unorganized and irresponsible. Stay away!!
Terrible experience. Didn't do enough research, I ended up as her patient because I just needed to see someone fast during a mental health crisis. Doesn't listen and rushes through appointments. Second visit she forgot my diagnosis. Worst of all she's hard to get a hold of for refills. After calling the office for a week she refused to refill my antidepressants until the next appointment which wasn't available for weeks. Awful provider, bad person.
I've seen Valerie for 10 years. She never really listened to me. In order to get tested for adhd and bipolar, there are some extremely expensive tests to be done. Since I didn't have insurance, she was the only doctor I saw or talked to for 2 years. She wasted my disability case although a lot of other reports were persuasive.
