Outstanding food and service like it has been since the 80's when I starting going while going to IU..
I could dine here on a nightly basis. Shrimp cocktail, King crab and the Porterhouse, medium-well.
I was in Bloomington over fourth of July weekend last summer. We wanted to go someplace within walking distance and we wanted steak. The front desk at our hotel told us we had to go to Janko's, and I'm so glad they did! The sirloin I ordered was probably close to being the best steak I've ever had. The staff were so friendly and nice. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was based on the looks of the interior of the restaurant, but it was fabulous!
It sounds stupid but the lemons for my water were so fresh. Then, THE SALAD. �� It was so crisp and fresh. The house made French dressing was beyond delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the baked potato was to die for. On top of that, the service was top notch. Over all one of the absolute best experiences I've had in a restaurant.
I work for a certain aviation group out at the airport. I send all the pilots here for a night stop. The spicy meatballs is a must at this place. The steak is phenomenal. The service is top notch even with a crowd. I applaud the noise coming from the kitchen. The certain masterpiece they are coming up with back there. Thanks so much
