CHARM!!! That's the first word I think of when I walk into Jane's Exchange. Whether it's the ladies behind the counter or the eclectic array of children's clothing and toys. Neighborhood fashionistas beware, you will be charmed by this unique store that is a labyrinth of style and character.
I’ve been shopping for my grandchildren’s toys and clothes for a few years at Jane’s Exchange. Wonderful store, great prices and great customer service.
As someone who runs a consignment store in PA I did a quick google search for best consignment in NYC and Janes Exchange popped up. I loved it from the moment we walked in. Eva the store owner introduced herself and showed us around the store. Great inventory at great prices! We made some amazing finds! Will be coming back next time we’re in the city!
It's so great to have a local shop where you can pick up affordable baby items (that they'll grow out of in a few months) and sell items you're baby grew out of (in a few months). They have *everything*: Clothes, shoes, baby/kid great, toys, books, maternity clothes.
I would give the store's concept a 5 star. I used to love Jane's exchange. However, the one woman Gale is extremely rude and I will never step foot in this store again except to take my items back. I will be looking for a consignment shop that doesn't have such unpleasant customer service. Seems to only be for gentrifiers even though it's been around for years.
