I have been seeing Dr. Jane Simon for two years, after missing a phone session by a few minutes (my 'sessions" last 5 minutes as they are simple follow ups) I was charged $260.00. I called the office and the administrator was cold as ice and explained this is their policy. I explained I will seek a caring, warm establishment and in the interim to continue prescribing my meds. (No stars) With concern for anyone inclined to become a “patient” of Jane Simon’s (her specialty is NOT psychiatry but forensic science, and she attended a suspect institute for her therapeutic training), I urge you to do further research and/or ask friends or doctors for recommendations. She is remarkably unsuited for this job: she is arrogant, melancholic, and sometimes seemed unhinged. New York has many talented therapists. Simon is definitively not one of them.
I've seen Dr. Simon for the past ~6 years. She's been fantastic: thoughtful, professional and accommodating to my crazy travel schedule.
I am very sick and all this office is concerned with is a 300.00 cancellation fee...
Excellent psychopharmacologist and psychotherapist. Dr. Simon really helped me resolve my issues.
