I was referred to Dr Eckermann by my insurance company as a second opinion and I cannot express my gratitude to him and his wonderful staff. I was diagnosed with multiple issues in my back and needed a spinal fusion. From the moment I entered the office I felt heard. He is extremely easy to talk to and truly cares about his patients. While most Dr.’s tend to listen to respond, Dr. Eckermann listens to hear. From my experience, he seems to trust his instincts as equally as he trusts the facts. I was in and out of a wheelchair... read more

The most uncaring staff I have ever dealt with. Poor attitudes from everyone I spoke with - except the doctor. He was quite pleasant. The staff incorrectly filed my insurance claim which created a lot of work for me to appeal it. It was still not approved because they way they filed it. THE STAFF WOULD NOT HELP ME refile so I went to another surgeon and it was approved in 2 days.

I was a patient of Dr eckerman in 2014. Spinal cord Stimulator surgery. I'm going paralyzed. Fighting to get it removed. I suffered from a hematoma in recovery, and since, the Stimulator leads we're put in wrong location, battery too close to spine, and sits off back. You can see a huge lump. I suffer from left foot drop and what now seams like I had a stroke on my left side, but in fact I have not, it's the stimulation device touching nerves..

Business response:

Good afternoon, Upon review of our records we are unaware of the issues you are having. Could you please contact our office so we can either assist you with removal of the device or refer you to another physician for removal.

He worked flawlessly putting in a spinal cord stimulator. The surgery took around 2 hours. Recovery about 6 weeks. During the 6 weeks you could not B L T = bend lift or twist. I am a Marine corps veteran too. Semper Fi.

Very personable and caring. It took a while to see him for appointment. Surgery went well and I am much better because of him.
