I had a consultation with Dr. Barnes for my pug to see if he needed BOAS surgery, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Barnes has a wonderful personality, took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and was honest every step of the way. He made sure all of my questions were answered, and I left feeling informed and reassured. Update 12/25: River run says that the surgery did not fix her knee and suggest trying again. So disappointing that she went through the surgery we spent over 4k and it needs to be redone. Dr. Barnes gave me a quote for $3,700 for surgery after an expensive office visit. I agreed to the surgery and despite the quote it was more for the surgery without explanation. I then went to get the follow up xray, which they said was going to be $150 and I was charged $250. The vet said its up to the tech and if they want to do more, not... read more
Honestly probably the worst vet experience that I've ever had. I do not recommend taking your dog to them if your dog has a hard time at the vet. In addition to that, they didn't give so much as a reminder/check in call before or after my dog's surgery. It truly gave me so much stress to feel like I had to leave my dog in the hands of people who didn't like him or care about him. Doctor Barnes is amazing! My 10 year rottie had his TPLO surgery a month ago and doctor barnes was soo comforting when giving us the info on how surgery was going to go and how recovery was going to be crucial. After the surgery his team has been so responsive with any questions or concerns that came up. I could not be happier with how things have been going. 1000/10
They did a great job on my kitty's gender reassignment surgery.
