Absolutely the worst. Condescending and rude. Wouldn’t take my dog to him.

I want to preface that I am a female clinician and neuroscientist affiliated with the Harvard medical school. I have published peer reviewed articles. I have suffered with spinal problems since my late teens. I saw Dr. Rainville for an opinion about specialized treatments for a particular problem and I was hoping for a collegial conversation. Instead he treated me like an imbecile whose problems were just in my head. He totally dismissed me and belittled my condition. When asked about some new treatments he stated that it is... read more

Dr. Rainville is a cruel man and a bad doctor. He makes ableist and chauvinist assumptions about patients and will try to gaslight you into thinking that your medical issues are fake just because he doesn’t understand them. I cannot overstate what a bad person and doctor he is. Do not see him.

Horrible. He should not be a practicing MD. He told me my disc disease and stenosis pain was in my head. That I can learn to live with the pain. He was condescending and demeaning.

I saw this MD for new onset lower back pain , severe never before experienced. He is arrogant, and treated me terribly. Did not let me say 2 words, nor did he listen or care about the quality of my life. Do not see him if you have an option. Worst experience I have ever had. P.S. I was not looking for pills to solve my problem. Just needed help!!!!

I have been going to Dr. Rainville for over 20 years and have referred others. He has always been spot on in his diagnosis and advice. He tells it like it is, does not have an agenda, is not for or against surgery or whatever. I have never left with an unanswered question, never had a phone call not returned. And he is getting me through another ruptured disk now. Diagnostician - A+, Knowledge and expertise - A+. Some reviews say 'arrogant' but I say self confident. Oh, and personality? Personally, I like him, but I don't pi... read more
