He thinks all his patients are lying, no trust, be careful.

Dr. Keffer is very thorough as he sits and types his notes with his back turn to you for an hour. I went to him for over a year and signed a pain contract to receive 800 mg of Ibuprofen. He was not successful in managing my pain but instead it has worsened. Vicky, who runs his office is very rude and unprofessional. She always gives recommendations out of her scope of practice and she lies constantly when she has no idea what is going on. She interacts with me like I am on parole and each visit is a required check in. The of... read more

I have been seeing Dr. Keffer for a few years. I was referred to this doctor by my NY wc. He does not treat me like some wc doctors. Dr. Keffer has worked with my many different conditions and has not pushed me into any procedures. I don’t go to a “pain doctor” looking for drugs like many patients.

Dr James Keffer is a Doctor who seems to care about his patients rather than a simple fix, treat the symptom and leave my office kind of of guy. He seems genuinely concerned and determined to find a solution. He also, provides additionally concern over the patient for all other areas of need. After several months of repeating our issues and concerns we finally found a Doctor who practices by his oath for the benefit of his patient. Thank you so much Dr. Keffer for all of your detailed concern and knowledge you have provided.... read more

Dr. Keffer is more interested in saving money for the insurance companies and argues that about ordering necessary tests. He doesn't believe in pain medication, which is easy to say when you don't have pain. He is unsympathetic and a sourpuss. Obviously he has never had severe debilitating pain affecting his quality of life. He only referred me to physical therapy, which didn't help. After you have your first appointment, he tries to pass you off on his physician assistant with excuses he is booked for weeks. They don't retu... read more

Dr. Keffer is very rude and nasty, and I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. My husband was injured on his job and was sent to this so called Dr. by WC and it has been a nightmare ever since. I know he is working for the company where my husband had his injury but that is no excuse to treat your patient badly. I will be reporting him the BBB.

Dr. Keffer is a wonderful doctor. He spent a great deal of time with me, doing testing and asking and answering questions. He didn't try to rush in and out of the room like some doctors. I was very pleased with my care there.

Business response:

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments and for sharing your experience. Have a great day.

Terrible doctor. Would never send a family member or patient to him. I am a nurse and he has terrible bedside manner. Did not help one bit with my husband's issues. Did not even seem to care at all nor did he have a smile or any type of caring demeanor. In fact, he had an attitude and a chip on his shoulder about even having to take care of a patient. Don't waste your time or money.
