The guy’s therapy amounted to first mirroring everything the patient said and then training them to engage in “outward aggression” toward others and praising it, reinforcing it, and giving life lessons to get admiration and convert patients into cult like followers admiring and worshiping the guy, while despising and hating his critics. People the e sta lost personal relationships where they are proud of their outward negativity they learned from him and this abuse from them is accepted. I believe there was a lot of narcissi... read more

He would give incorrect and harmful advice, then insist he helped them when they reported he harmed them, would gaslight people and deny what he clearly said, would get angry when people raise concerns about him acting outside the scope of his license, mock them and demand they stop criticising him, and coerce them saying they are endangering the therapy process for others by bringing up safety concerns about him. Would also play victim and demand people he harmed have sympathy for him and let him abuse them because he has a... read more

Very insidious man, who would covertly groom, abuse and turn his group members into mean people alienated from their benign families. Very sick guy. Abused his authority as a therapist in many unethical ways and acted outside the scope of his psychologist’s license! Took steps to hide and mislead people about what he was doing too. Extremely harmful and unethical!

i was mute and autistic, graduated college and jobless; i came to college health center and they said 'go to a co-ed group therapy'. i picked his name from a list because he was harvard affiliated and had a centrally located office. he seemed like a weak therapist and i was going to not continue until he smiled and said, 'Well, X, the WOMEN in the group will go CRAZY over you.' So I gave it a try. He trauma bonded me by humiliating a girl in the group telling her to ask a guy out and get rejected and blamed it on me, making ... read more

Yes, he was definitely lying, turning patients against each other, feeding off causing pain, isolating people in his group, enjoyed causing chaos.

Yes, the whole premise of Leon’s groups was that you are deceptively, unexpectedly attacked. After being encouraged to talk about anything openly, he then encourages people attack you, and then blames the attacks on them and not him. This hurts the trust you have toward all people and outside world. You walk out of there losing trust to people. This also creates a feeling of learned helplessness. He then teaches you to accept abuse and to abuse others. So you learn abuse from him. He also personally abuses you, but makes it ... read more

I went to Leon as a group therapist and said I suk with girls and that I groped a girl in school and feel bad about it. he said the girl probably enjoyed being groped and it’s normal for boys and girl to figure out what they like at that age. I thought he wasn’t a very good therapist and was going to leave. he then says “the women in my group will go crazy over you.” so I tried it. he then encouraged a girl to ask a guy out and watch her get rejected and blamed it on me which made her mad at me. He then accused me of insert... read more

A parasite who somehow slipped through the cracks and became a therapist, looking to mooch off of you and drain you to meet his personal and financial needs. Wish more people realized it.

Yes, he seemingly exploited his position as a therapy and guilt tripped people about discussing his unethical behaviors and made them feel pressured to join and stay in his group therapy. He would call them and tell them they are missing out on 'things getting good' and would tell it is just about to happen. Playing a game of teasing every time they thought about quitting and acted like it was his job to do so. It's very messed up what he did. His whole practice.
