Incredibly disrespectful, acted like he couldn’t stand to even be in the room with me and made sure it was the fastest appointment possible. Ignored me when I said medications weren’t helping with serious issues, increased the meds which caused me to overdose, pass out, and break my nose. The ER doctor was so scared about the meds he said he was calling Dr. Winkley. 3 weeks later I was dismissed as a patient for “inappropriate behavior”. I have never been dismissed from anything in my life, not even fired from a job. He’s no... read more

Before seeing Dr. Winkley, I had been going to UK Neurology. My experience with UK neurology was horrific and I was treated horribly and was laughed at and told to come back when I couldn’t walk on my own anymore. After one visit, Dr. Winkley ordered the tests UK neurology should have ordered for over a year and a half. He took me and my symptoms seriously and took action to try and figure things out. I would recommend Dr. Winkley in a heartbeat.

Business response:

We sincerely thank you for the positive review! - The Baptist Health Team.

Have always had GREAT care a Baptist, Winkley is the exception. Will NOT listen to your concerns and has unreasonable demands.

Avoid this guy. Doesn’t explain much, doesn’t care about you calling to ask questions when something goes wrong, straight up lies and changes his assessment, if you care about yourself or someone, and you have a choice to pick someone else, do it. You will leave worse than when you arrived.

When I began seeing Dr. Winkley, I was in bed 3 or 4 days each week. The days I was able to get up, I was totally miserable. Dr. W. worked with me trying various medications and physical therapy until, gradually, I have reached a place where most people don’t even remember that I have MS. Actually, a lot of the time, I forget it. I would recommend Dr Winkley to anyone with any neurological problem. I have no doubt that he saved my life.

Business response:

Hi Donna! We're so happy we were able to help you out!

I really like Dr. Winkley and have recommended him to many. He’s very knowledgeable, thorough and cares about his patients. Seeing him is easy at the Baptist Health clinic located in Brannons Crossing.

Did not seem to want to listen to me or my husband about concerns I had after I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Prescribed seizure meds for 6 months in which symptoms became worse. I tried to explain this only to be directed to another specialist. I seemed to be wasting his time at least that is how I felt. Definately not the Baptist Health Code of Conduct I was expecting. Michon was wonderful! It was easy to make appointment, maybe because not so busy. However, unfortunately, I would not recommend.

My first visit to this doctor it’s about 10 minutes and I was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome about one week after a car accident. I was sent home with sleeping pills and nothing else even though I had been exhibiting nausea, headaches, mood swings, & I couldn’t sleep very well because that’s what happens after a concussion. Also being a former prof photographer for Sports, I know about concussions & the first 4-6 weeks are the most important, but my 2nd appt was set for 2 months. Bad!
