My son is currently being treated for testicular cancer and receiving chemotherapy. Just wanted to shout out to the wonderful nurses who have almost made this experience pleasant. Top notch. Well trained and compassionate. Will never forget you. Words cannot express my thanks. Prayers for clean scans.
I called 3 times to make an appointment with an oncologist. Schedulers were always busy and never returned my call. My 1st call was 8 days ago. They also give the scheduler 48 hrs to return your call. RIDICULOUS! I encourage patients to use the Breast Center at the U of MD Baltimore. I was able to set up appointment the same day I called. My 1st appointment is 3 hrs and I meet with a Medical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist, and a Breast Surgeon. They will determine my treatment. So glad I called them!
My initial experience left me discouraged but then I met Matt and he was awesome! Left with a car that I am very happy with!
Almost made chemotherapy pleasant. The staff and volunteers are wonderful. The ringing the bell ceremony on completion of treatment was super fun.
