Very disappointing experiences with hematology. You have to be your own advocate and even then, they are unable to give you next steps or guidance. So I was forced to consult Dr Google which is never a good idea. I went to another hematologist and got more answers for my blood work results than I did in three visits to this office. I will say that Fatima in the infusion center is an absolute gem and it was one of my only positive experiences within the entire office.
The front office couldn’t figure out my insurance (Tricare—only the best for military, right?) & made me call my insurance for info before I could be seen. Well they messed up & I am looking at a $816 bill. Guess I didn’t do the office admin’s job right & I’m stuck on hold for a half hour to try to fix it. Nah, I’m not under any stress low key like having cancer or anything.. Seriously looking into other cancer centers that might take my insurance…
My son is currently being treated for testicular cancer and receiving chemotherapy. Just wanted to shout out to the wonderful nurses who have almost made this experience pleasant. Top notch. Well trained and compassionate. Will never forget you. Words cannot express my thanks. Prayers for clean scans.
