Similar to another patient review here, Dr. oberwetter refused to see me anymore after I missed an appointment due to an emergency with my 10 month old. He even went as far as sending a 'certified letter' to inform me that he would no longer provide me with medical care, which I have to say my husband and I had a good laugh over because it was so ludicrous. Unprofessional and ride, that goes for his office staff as well. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
Dr Oberwetter and his manager Briana are completely unprofessional . I made and appointment for 8 am ,However, when I arrived at the office , I was told that I was not on the schedule for that day because Dr Oberwetter had personally cancelled this appointment because I had cancelled an appointment in 2017 with him and he would not take me as a patient any longer because of my prior cancellation due to a car accident No-one had bothered to call me and let me know about this change
I saw Dr. Oberwetter when I lived in CO quite a few years back. I had just started with thyroid issues and he was very knowledgeable and saved me much unnecessary treatment had I listened to misinformation from the family doctor and radiologist who did some tests. He listened to my crazy complaints and explained everything. He suggested a book called "Your thyroid" which was a great help and I have shared it with many people. I am sending my daughter there for her thyroid nodules.
Dr Oberwetter seemed threatened by another performing blood work for my overall health data that included thyroid results as though he didn't want another playing in HIS sandbox. He could have shown curiosity or interest in my overall well-being and suggested that he would like to help me but perhaps my other more naturopathic approach was getting in the way or not supporting his treatment, but instead he bashed all Eastern medicine and terminated me as a patient. Very unprofessional.
If I could give zero stars I would. His office and manner is completely unprofessional. He does not care about his patients.
Dr Oberwetter is a nice enough guy, but he advised me to ignore any research on the internet regarding my symptoms...a terrible thing for a doctor to suggest in this day and age, where healthcare is often strongly based on economic considerations. Today's patients MUST conduct their own research & be their own advocate or risk receiving faulty/inadequate care. I think he wants his patients to only trust in his expertise and ignore the opinions of others. Not an approach I agree with at all.
