As some reviews already mention Dr Gilbert is very good at optimizing his profits and the billing seems to be manipulated to his advantage. I have never paid this much for a 5 minute consultation where no actual treatment was provided. Also when it comes to answering follow up questions, his record is pretty mediocre - I did not get any reply to questions submitted via the portal.
Terrible experience. Heed the 1-star reviews. First time I've had a doctor treat me with contempt, at first sight. Expensive waste of my time. I found a different local practice, and their insight and treatment is night and day better.
If the adjuster for your place of employment demands an IME from Dr. Gilbert, I strongly suggest seeking representation prior to your appointment. I spoke with Dr. Gilbert for maybe fifteen minutes. For some reason, I presume since he is paid by the insurance and per their request, his recommendation to return to work supercedes recommendations of treatment from the specialist that is actually treating you. A true craftsman with phenomenal attention to detail who holds the utmost importance and respect to the human body. A friend recommended Dr. Gilbert to doctor me up and while I was hesitant about having surgery; I could tell by having conversations with Dr. Gilbert that he was the right man for the job.
