In 2016 Dr. Atkinson performed gastric sleeve surgery. I was 220. Today I’m 147lbs & following the tools given to me at the time of surgery. He has a wonderful staff & he is as nice as a doctor can be. I thank him dearly for this huge change in my life! I’m even thinner than I am the those pictures.
I am writing this review with deep pain—both emotional and physical. I underwent gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Atkinson in April 2024, which led to a life-threatening complication: a hematoma that required an emergency evacuation and an extended hospital stay. Dr. Atkinson is the best doctor in town. He is patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He and his staff have stuck with me through thick and thin… no pun intended!
Dr. Atkinson has a great bedside manner and is very concerned about his patients. My first 2 months were rough as we did not know that I had an ulcer in my esophagus. I was put on antibiotics and was soon able to eat. I’m a year out and I hit my goal weight and feel great. Dr. Atkinson, Dr. LeDuc and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone considering this procedure.
