Highly recommend James Clyde Homes and here is why: We moved into our James Clyde home in the fall of 2024. Prior to making this decision we looked at a lot of builders and their houses throughout the Ada County area. We kept coming back to the James Clyde homes in Cartwright Ranch for a number of reasons. I contacted them to look at the houses and the lady was NOT friendly at all. I've sent several emails for them to view the houses with NO responses back. When I tried looking at various homes in Cartwright ranch + the one in meridian the sales rep responded 1 word responses, which really shows they don't want my business. I've read some of their reviews on yelp, which explicitly state "We cannot recommend James Clyde as a home builder" due to the owner being difficult to deal with, another issue is "Hard to communicate with.... read more
We continue to live happily and comfortably in our quality-built James Clyde home. Warranty and goodwill services have been well-decisioned long after our 2018 move-in. Associate Shane Asay took care of an HVAC issue just today in support of our request. Common sense prevails at James Clyde Homes. We recommend!
No doubt James Clyde builds a nice home. However, the "warranty department" with Shane A. is lacking. Trying to get Shane to respond to a phone call or text is frustrating. When you finally track him down, he claims he never got it. I honestly believe he wants customers to get frustrated and stop contacting him. There are some small items that aren't resolved 18 months after we moved into our home! That isn't good warranty service. And it hurts the James Clyde reputation.
