Satisfactory Service, but not Stellar I used this vet for the first 18 months of my doggie's life. The staff was definitely friendly and the waiting time to see the vet wasn't too bad (about 15-20 mins). I wasn't terribly pleased with the level of care my dog received (she was spayed at the facility and has experienced problems ever since; a potentially serious condition was not diagnosed). Clean, Friendly, and Very caring I took my 2 childhood dogs to the James City Vet Clinic for about 20 years. They were with us from the time they were puppies until they had to be put down. I was always so impressed with how caring they were - even at the worst times. Both of my dogs had their final moments in the office and the staff was so supportive during that time. RecommendedI wish I would’ve found this vet sooner. Absolutely wonderful. Dr Bates is amazing and his staff is so nice. Price is also cheaper than most other vets in Williamsburg.
By far the best vet in the area. They are so nice and really took care of our dog when he boarded there. We recently had to put our dog down and they were so compassionate and understanding and made us feel like we made the right decision. Highly recommended!!!!
What a great place. Dr. Bates is the best and his staff I can’t say enough about. Would highly recommend.
Last week I took my 4.5 month old German Shepard there to be boarded, bath nails clipped and so on. When we returned to pick her up she smelt nothing like clean but like a cigarette nails were not clipped. Pretty sure they abused her because she was NEVER aggressive about getting baths with her previous vet. We took her to pet smart today and they sent her back home before they could even get her to be calm enough to be in the bath. So I would definitely think twice about taking any of your fur babies here.

This is the first vet I took my dog Aurora to when I got her as a puppy. Dr. Bates took the time to make sure she was really comfortable because she can get anxious. The staff is great with her, and they always send reminders for vaccines. They are very professional and caring.
