Went to Huntsville ER with blocked ureter, when he was called for a consult, he summoned me to his office. He made me pay for an office visit and scan (which is what the ER had already done), and said it would take a week for surgery. When I asked about cost and being off work and on pain meds that long, he shrugged. I could’ve gotten treated at the ER if he had just consulted as asked. The front desk is immature and unprofessional. The bathrooms are filthy. I had emergency surgery in Madison ER the next day.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Flatt as a provider. He is very friendly, competent, office processes were very efficient.
Never got a chance to see Dr. Flatt because of the staff members answering the phone. I was referred by my PM who faxed the information to Dr. Flatt's office on 3 different occasions, but each time they could not find the information. After call #6 the two ladies that were answering the phone just gave me a quick "I do not see the information" and then hangup. Based on the two ladies managing the in-coming calls I am afraid to go to the office now.
Dr. Flatt seems genuinely concerned for the issues I was visiting him for. Rare for a modern health care Professional. He was courteous and respectful as well, have no concerns about continuing to see him or recommend him to others. Reading other reviews surprises me with what others are saying, and hope their situation improves. Also hope to never have kidney stones to find out what kind of service I will receive from Dr. Flatts office.
Dr. Flatt is courteous, listens carefully, took all the time I needed, and is easy to talk to. He is very professional, yet personable. I am greatly pleased with him as a caring person, and as an excellent medical professional.
Dr. Flatt is a great doctor. I've been seeing him for many years and I haven't had any problems. People will always complain about something. I was pleased with the procedure, he performed on me and didn't get a chance to thank him.
Flatt should never have a medical license. 2 weeks after seeing him I wound up in the hospital with kidney stones. I stayed in the hospital 4 days and the jerk never saw me once. After the 4th day his office staff said I could be discharged from the hospital even though I still had intense pain from the kidney stone and still required morphine for pain. His staff said after discharge from hospital I should make an appointment with his office and at some point he would perform lithotripsy.
Let me suffer with kidney stones and blood fungus for years. If he had bothered to measure my blood fungus, he would have understood the kidney stones were affecting my kidneys. Not sure why a noninvasive procedure is so hard to obtain from him. When he finally did agree to treat me, it was outpatient with no medications for staph or blood fungus afterwards. Unbelievable!
Sent me home knowing I had a blocked ureter- when I got to the window was told to come back in a year or as needed. Went for a second opinion- CT of course showed blocked ureter- lithotripsy was scheduled for next day. I dealt with kidney stones 6 weeks needlessly.
