The tacos were great. My wife's chicken burrito was full of gristle, so not a great experience. We were charged for refills of ice tea... so the manager had to intervene and change the bill. All in all... not their best showing.
I gave it three stars because everything was pretty average. Nothing really blew me away. Kinda tastes like a lot of it was pre-packaged, but I did eat at Joel's earlier that day and it's kind of hard to compete with that. But the staff is really nice, and the decor was really cool.
Love the atmosphere a little sandpoint gem. Good food and great happy hour!

It is very good. Joel's is the best but not open for dinner. We got great service and enjoyed our meal. We will go back.
I've loved Jalapenos since I was a kid. They've changed owners and locations a few times since, but the food somehow stays great! For a Mexican joint in a small north Idaho town ran by white people, it's a great place to get some good, comfort food. Went there yesterday for my sister's birthday and see that they added a new dessert.. Get this... Huckleberry Deep Fried Ice Cream! It was fantastic!! Way to take a traditional dessert found in Mexican restaurants, and give it a little north Idaho flair! :)
Very forgettable mediocre food. Perhaps a "bad day"? A bit bland? Service was adequate. Cleanliness adequate. Value, wish we had gone elsewhere.
