There's no question our specialty is steak! We buy only corn fed, Nebraska raised beef. The finest beef available anywhere. We then either dry or wet age our beef, depending on the cut, for a minimum of 28 days to ensure that famous flavor and tenderness found only at JAK's. At brunch, lunch or dinner, we offer the best quality and the best value in town. At dinner, all entrees include salad, veggies, your choice of potato and hot sourdough bread. Why go downtown? Nebraska corn fed beef aged 28 days and cooked right - need I say more? Small place kept busy with a steady stream of customers. Good service, clean, neat and efficient service. Small bar area if you want to drop in after work for a drink and catch a game on the tv's as well
Great steaks A friend recommended this place to me and said it was better than Metropolitan Grille, so of course I had to try it out. While it lacks the whole ambiance that is the Met, Jak's makes great steaks, without the whole pretentious thing (and cheaper as well). The best steak in town This is by far the best steak i have ever had. The prices are a little high but i didn't mind after i tasted the steak. Jak's is a nice neighborhood restaurant with a variety of items on there menu.
Great steaks, but not usually worth the wait Really good steaks (I hang out with a lot of meat eaters, what can I say?), but this neighborhood has become so crowded, you can hardly ever get in without waiting. It seems even when you manage to make reservations, you still have to wait, and they don't have a good waiting area. We love their food and if we happen to plan a very early or very late dinner, we'll go in for steaks, but not at prime seating.
The service was good. The food was phenomenal. Can't go wrong with any meat choice... But I highly suggest the filet.
Great Steak I have been hearing about this place for a few years but usually do the Daniels or Keg. Anyhow was down in issaquah over the weekend and decided to try it. It was definatley worth it and I recommend it highly. It is a smaller place and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated but the server found us a place at the bar and got us a drink while we were waiting. The steak was cooked perfect and my girlfriend who only eats seafood said the salmon she had was cooked perfectly.
