One of the better bars in Columbia Jake's Bar & grill is a bar in the heart of Five Points that has been around for about 8 years now and caters to the 22-32 age range. The great thing about their bar is the service. It is probably the cleanest bar in Five Points. Their staff constantly walk around cleaning up empty bottles and cups, and replacing your ashtrays with a clean one. Great selection of brews, nice patio outside... This is an otherwise 4 star bar, especially considering the history of the building. They've done a great job of getting good beers on tap, built a nice patio outside and attracted a good clientelle. The problem? They serve their brewskis outside in a plastic cups. This is no good! The drinks are smaller, the cup folds in on itself, and let's face, beer out of plastic no longer counts as good beer. Start using glasses outside and you'll get to the 4th star quick!
