After spending over an hour at Lowes with no other customers looking at carpet and a salesperson who knew nothing about carpeting, I decided to go to Jake Tiver's in town and was helped immediately and ordered exactly what I needed at close to the same price as Lowes was offering. In and out in 10 minutes. I'm still a Lowes customer, but I'll go to Jake Tiver for carpeting first!
We ordered carpet and were told by Jack we would not see a seam. We see a seam in the middle of the room. They came back once to try and fix, and the seam is still there - big and bold. The no seam promise should not have been made. We won’t be going back here for carpet again.
I wanted to hire Jake and his team but there were a few problems. Firstly, Jake Tiver flooring charges $200 to measure your rooms for floors. This to me was unacceptable since Home Depot only charges $35 and their measurements are digital with a full digital layout of your house. Also, Dan Higgins Flooring down the road charges $0 for measuring. Secondly, there flooring choices are limited and they will not allow you to choose floors outside of their store. Shop around, but you wont find better service and prices. Experience was superb, from walking in, to the awesome installation team. We went to 2 other places, and while we couldn't match exactly as one of the other place private labels. Another store was pushy in directing us to a more expensive carpet and Cost wise and over the top padding.. pricing ranged from 10 to 35% higher. I love my floors but I have called at least 5 times to have some issues with my floors resolved and I am told a installer will contact me to fix my problems but I still have not had any resolution I call 1 time every week without any solution I will remove my negative review as soon as my problem is solved the floor is amazing the issues are from the installation
