Dr J Merchan is a compassionate, brilliant and dedicated doctor. We are beyond fortunate to have him as our doctor.
Dr Merchan and his entire staff (Dr Harwood, Bianca and Sara) were outstanding and top class in every respect. The University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center are likely in the top three of the most reputable Cancer treatment centers in this country, if not the world. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to consult with him! Thank you!!
Dr Merchan read the results of tests so they looked positive by highlighting the few tumors that shrunk while ignoring the numerous tumors that grew uncontrollably. He kept my husband on prednisone for months with no immunotherapy; the cancer spread wildly. After my husband died he told a colleague he knew he was going to die when he was referred to him from Sloane. Will never forgive or forget
