Feels like home – There's a lot we love about Jade. The homestyle Southeast asian cuisine, truffle fries, the bahn mi, the family friendliness. It's our go to spot pretty much anytime we're hungry. Terrible service and food! – My friend and I were eating at a Thai restaurant across the street from Jade and watched as people flocked into Jade. This struck our interest and the next day, we tried Jade for lunch. I can not emphasize enough just how disappointed we were in the food, the service and the entire experience. We will NEVER go back.
Bad Food and Bad Service – This place doesn't even deserve a star. My BF and I ordered take-out from here because we live a few blocks from the place. They not only screwed up our order TWICE (putting red peppers in all the dishes we ordered after we specified I had an allergy then putting them in the dish we re-ordered) but the food was sub par and one dish was inedible. My BF took one bite of it, spit it out, and threw it in the trash. I will NEVER eat there again.
Disappointed that I'm disappointed :( – I've been hearing about this place and heard rave reviews about the green cake so I had to head down to Sellwood to try it out! (I live way out in the Gresham area....) I was so disappointed, and I wish I wasn't! The cake was so dry (so dry!) and as another reviewer had stated the cream was quite dense due to the cooler temperature. Really Salty Sandwich – My husband and I had been reading good things about this establishment, so instead of heading for Binh Minh on Saturday March 21, we decided to give them a try. We were pleased with the loveliness of your facility and friendliness of staff, and settled in for what we hoped would be equally pleasing food. The Best Vietnamese Sandwich In Town – As long as I have lived in Portland I have been on a search for a perfect Bahn Mi (Vietnames Sandwich). I am particularly fond of the barbecue pork sandwich. I learned that the baguettes and all of the pastries at Jade are baked in house. The baguette was the amazing! On the few visits to Jade I also tried out a few of the many teas they offer. I was very impressed by the taste and blends of the teas. The service was very friendly, as well!
