It’s always a hassle to get anything done with this doctor. They rarely pick up calls, never gets back on voice mails, you have to remind them to do the stuff they said they’d do ‘immediately’. Trying to get them to send my MRI results etc to another doctor has been a nightmare. They confirmed three times that they sent my records over but nope, they haven’t. It’s been 4 months of absolute hell trying to shift to another doctor.
I did not have a good experience with Dr. Stephens. I walked in and as I was checking in, I was rudely interrupted by the Dr herself barking at her front lady desk/receptionist to help her log into a computer. After waiting 30 mins, I was called in by her NP student on rotations. I walked into her office and she does not address me by my name—probably didn’t know how to say it but you can ask!! A literal nightmare of a doctor. Please stay away: there are plenty of practices in Brookline, specifically on this street even. Jacqueline is not in the office half the time, talks on the phone about trivial personal matters during appointments, fails to return calls for 5+ days after repeated messages left to her... I understand she's of retirement age but if you don't want to put in the work, please just get retired. She will then try to gaslight patients into thinking she's in the right. Had a good experience. IUD taken in/out is never easy. I was in so much pain almost passed out but with Dr Jacqueline & Vanessa (I may have the name wrong) the medical assistant I felt really comfortable. They were great and understanding of my low pain tolerance.
